I love all of the beautiful wreaths that accompany fall. This month’s issue of Southern Living is – as you would expect – full of great ideas. But, page 49 especially caught my eye. With an eye for the unusual, I thought this wreath was especially interesting. With elements left over from spring (the birds nest) and summer (the hydrangea) the rustic texture of the barbed wire encircles both and continues to draw your eye back around to the beautiful arrangement nestled inside. This beautiful wreath would be easy to alter with items from your own garden shed and yard.
I wanted to give a direct link for the magazine photo above, but this particular wreath is featured in the magazine, but not on the website. You can find more great Southern Living ideas here.
As you would expect, Martha Stewart has lots of great ideas. Look here for thumbnails of her current autumn creativities.
And if you find yourself sitting around some Saturday afternoon, bloated from eating too many bonbons while watching endless hours of black and white movies and you think, “I really should get up and do something constructive,” you can make one of these gourd lamps. Instructions are here, thanks to Martha.
