– “Makes Me Happy Mondays”

I have a sweet friend of many years who has a saying.  Kelly often says, “That makes me happy,” adding a few little claps with her exclamation.  It tickles me.  It’s good to acknowledge what brings us joy.  Too often we are bogged down in the daily work that is life and miss what makes us smile.

Don’t you just love Mondays?  No? Well, I absolutely love Mondays. Mondays make me happy  *clap, clap, clap* After a weekend of resting and rejuvenating OR absolutely TOO much activity, it is always refreshing to get back into the routine of the majority of the year. I like the routine of weekdays.

I look around and see so many things that make me happy in this world. With Mondays and my friend, Kelly, in mind, I thought I would make it a habit to acknowledge each week something that makes me happy. It’s so easy to find things that bring  joy. So, what’s makes you happy?  Let me know on some upcoming Monday.

  1. I used to sit and cry on Sunday nights because I had to go back to work on Monday to the worst place I’ve ever worked. It was the kind of place where your best was never good enough.
Now what makes me happy on Mondays is going to my new job. I work for a Christian construction company with the best people I’ve ever worked with. I earn more money than I ever earned and do a job I love! I prayed for this kind of job for years. I’ve been here for one year. GOD IS GOOD!
